Foi nessa igreja que num sábado, 6 de julho de 1957, que Paul (15 anos) conheceu
John. Dizem que Paul veio de sua casa em Allerton de bicicleta...
Bom, mas o motivo pelo qual estaa foto é curiosa é outro.
Assim como muitas igrejas da Europa, ela tem um cemitério nos fundos. O tio
de John está sepultado aí. (tio George Toogood Smith, que é provavelmente o
mais próximo de figura paterna que John conheceu, morto quando John tinha 14
anos em 1955).
Mas prestem atenção na lápide em destaque.
Dentre os mortos que ali estão consta Eleanor Rigby. Coincidência? A mesma personagem da música? Não sei!
Extraí essa foto do livro "The Beatles Liverpool - The definitive guide", lançado no Reino Unido em 1991. Autor Ron Jones.
O autor também não soube afirmar de quem se trata... Se pensarmos na letra da música, realmente fica um mistério no ar...
